Let’s talk about tea.
Born and raised in Texas, I’d always believed that sun tea stood as the pinnacle of tea perfection. I’d tried “hot tea” a few times with microwaved water (ugh!) and thought it tasted like “hot soapy dish water.” Then I got ill one day with some nasty virus, and my scratchy throat needed some serious relief. Fortunately, I had access to a proper electric kettle and some quality green tea.
Wow! What a difference!
My favorite tea is PGTips to start the morning. I also enjoy Tazo’s China Green Tips Tea and Chai Tea.
Did you say chocolate?
I lurve me some chocolate. I enjoy a brand called Endangered Species. I need to branch out more, but I’m kind of a creature of habit. I also REALLY enjoy having some chocolate-y or fudge-y type cookies in the morning with my tea.
What about books?
I like any story that transports me to a different world, especially if it has some funny bits. That means I mostly enjoy fantasy (old-school wizards and dragons and warriors as well as urban) and science fiction. I love those genres even better when they’re twisted around a romance with a kick-ass heroine.
Some of my favorite authors include Eloise James, Rachel Meade, Molly Harper, JD Robb, RA Salvatore, Orson Scott Card, and J.K. Rowling.
Where do I write?
I don’t have an office or even a desk. I’m a lap writer, which means I sit on the couch with my laptop, prop up my feet on the coffee table (I know, I know…), and go to town.
